Company Introduction With a history of 60 years in Tokyo, Japan, the UKAI Group has always adhered to its founding spirit of “hospitality”, combining the finest ingredients with the exquisite skills of culinary artisans to deliver every moment of happiness. The UKAI Group had long been based in Tokyo until Mr. Shao Yung-Tien, Chairman of the YU-MIN Group, was deeply moved by the cuisine during a guest event and determined to bring the UKAI Group to Taiwan regardless of cost. As both sides shared the same philosophy, in 2017 the first overseas branch was established. For the first time, UKAI introduced two of its most popular dining concepts—teppanyaki and western grill—at Silks Club, fulfilling the expectations of gourmet enthusiasts.

In 2018, as the YU-MIN Group celebrated its 21st anniversary, it once again partnered with the UKAI Group to establish The Ukai Taipei at Breeze Nan Shan in Taipei. This venue launched both premium teppanyaki and Japanese kaiseki simultaneously, designed by renowned Japanese designer Yasumichi Morita, creating the most luxurious dining club in Taiwan. With panoramic windows overlooking the Greater Taipei skyline and the winding Keelung River, it offers guests unforgettable and remarkable memories.

Since its establishment in 2019, The Ukai Taipei has been recognized in the Michelin Guide every year from 2020 through 2024, with aspirations for this honor to continue into the future.
